Yetunde Gbadebo, a 25-year-old woman, has been apprehended by the Ogun State Police Command for trying to sell her three-year-old daughter on Aladiye Street in Sagamu.
On July 25, 2024 at approximately 10:00 AM, the incident took place.
Police received information from a source confirming that Gbadebo was caught in the act of bargaining with Sunday None, who is 38 years old, for her toddler at an asking price of N700,000.
Upon receiving this report from one among several witnesses present during the negotiation process, detectives quickly intervened and apprehended both suspects through Sagamu Division’s efforts.

While being interrogated, Gbadebo refuted the accusations while None admitted to committing the crime according to Omolola Odutola, who is a spokesperson for the command.
As per Odutola’s statement during questioning, “The female suspect was in negotiations with another accused party regarding selling her three-year-old daughter when she was apprehended.
An eyewitness observed their exchange and notified our Sagamu station of this incident leading us to dispatch detectives promptly causing both suspects’ arrests at that location.” The male suspect has since confessed his wrongdoing.
After the initial findings are concluded, the state Criminal Investigation Department will take over the case.

Allegedly conspiring with her teenage daughter Joy, the mother tried to complete the sale with Mrs. Ify Obinabo who posed undercover as a buyer after receiving intel about the illegal transaction.
