Woman and three children abducted by bandits in Abuja Estate
A lady and her three children, including a six-month-old baby, were abducted by bandits on Sunday night from the Federal Capital Territory’s Zone 5 of the Kubwa Extension 2 Relocation Estate on Arab Road.
PUNCH claims that on Sunday, December 10, between 8 and 9 p.m., gunmen opened fire randomly, spreading chaos throughout the neighbourhood.

Speaking with our correspondent about the development, a resident who wished to remain anonymous said that every December, kidnapping has turned into a regular occurrence in the neighbourhood.
“This kidnapping has turned into a yearly tradition here in December,” he declared. If you recall correctly, The PUNCH reported on a similar abduction occurrence in the area last December. This is a worrying new incidence.
“This kidnapping is due to a lack of adequate security in the area,” observed another local. Here at Zone 5, Kubwa Extension 2 Relocation estate, they abducted a mother and her three children, one of them was six months old, last night.
As of the time of publication, the FCT Police Command had not released an official statement regarding the development.
The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, responded to our correspondent’s message by saying she will investigate the incident and get back to her.
Adeh responded, “Please allow me to investigate and get back to you as soon as possible.”
On Monday, our journalist called the FCT CP, Haruna Garba, but she did not answer.
