Munir Balogun, father of the renowned Nigerian Afrobeats artist Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has spoken out about the ongoing conflict between his son and fellow musician Davido.
In his comments, Balogun mentioned that he has advised Wizkid to ignore provocations from Davido’s fan base, encouraging him to remain focused and steer clear of unnecessary distractions.
In an interview with Punch Newspapers, Balogun stated, “I advised my son not to pay attention to what Davido’s supporters are saying. They are merely trying to provoke reactions in order to gain financial benefits.”

He continued by explaining that fans frequently stir up drama to attract attention and exploit the situation for their gain, urging Wizkid to stay above the commotion.
“They’re simply searching for something to eat, and I advised him not to pay too much attention to them,” he added.
Balogun also mentioned that he has observed the rivalry on social media.
