Olalekan Odesanya, a witness, said before the Ogun State election appeal tribunal meeting in Abeokuta that his polling place’s election was annulled owing to interference, and he questioned how the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared a winner for his polling place.
Odesanya was one of the witnesses cited by the attorney for Governor Dapo Abiodun, the second respondent.
Odesanya testified before the tribunal that he cast his ballot at Polling Unit 002, Wesley Primary School, Oke Eri, in the Ijebu-North East Local Government Area of Ogun State. He claimed that no results were recorded by the electoral umpire because of people who were allegedly sharing credit cards with voters and causing the election to be disrupted.

He claimed that no results were recorded by the electoral umpire because of people who were allegedly sharing credit cards with voters and causing the election to be disrupted.
Odesanya, however, was taken aback when he noticed the certified true copy of the Form EC8A for his voting unit that Gordy Uche, the petitioner’s attorney, had provided.
Uche requested that Odesanya look at the results for his electoral district, where the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) received 139 votes and the All Progressives Congress (APC), 66.
Odesanya replied, “But no result was declared. The result displayed to me was for Wesley Primary School, my polling place. This outcome must be bogus. Yes, Wesley Primary School is visible, but there was disruption, so I’m not sure about that.
Uche allegedly provided the witness with a copy of Form EC40G, which was issued by INEC and reportedly said that although votes were counted in the polling place, the outcome was invalidated due to excessive voting.
Odesanya, however, stated that when several people sharing cards invaded the unit, the election came to a sudden halt.
He claimed to have obtained a copy of the card and later cashed it out for the money on it.
