Wike lauds Ayu’s replacement with “I Said You Would Go”
People who were excited about the idea of a new government were told by the governor that he would stay in office until May 29.
Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, is happy that Iyorchia Ayu is no longer the national chairman of the PDP.
On Tuesday, it was revealed that Umar Damagum would take over for Ayu in an acting role.
This takes place only two days after the PDP Executive Committee in the Igyorov Ward of the Gboko Local Government Area (LGA), Benue State, immediately suspended the previous chairman.
Ayu had been in a nasty fight (Enugu) with many high-ranking PDP members, such as Wike, Samuel Ortom (Benue), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
The G5 wouldn’t join the campaign until Ayu quit, which didn’t happen until May 2022, when Atiku Abubakar was chosen as the presidential candidate of the PDP.The party lost the presidential election on February 25 as a result of the conflict.

Wike celebrated Ayu’s firing as soon as he heard about it. He was at the dedication of Phase 1 of the Trans-Kalabari Road in the Degema Local Government Area (LGA) of Rivers State.
Do you see how God operates? He claimed that the folks who were conspiring to do us harm are now the ones who are suffering.
The governor also reminded them that he will remain in office until May 29 in case they were getting too enthusiastic about Rivers becoming the next governor.
Therefore, he said, “I’ll pepper you if you do anything.” “Can you see now how I peppered them? Ain’t they the ones going through it right now? Ayu claimed that no one could dismiss him, but today he left the workplace, according to Wike.
“We currently have an acting chairman. I informed him, “You’re going. You have to go, whether you want to or not. You don’t comprehend if those attorneys claim that only NEC has the authority to suspend you and that the ward lacks that authority.
“Before you arrived, the ward had suspended Secondus, and you had gone and taken office. It is now that you are aware that it is NEC alone. Because they haven’t told you, let me tell you that the courts have changed that portion of our constitution to read “NEC only.”
