Prior to the upcoming National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), former National Chairman Uche Secondus has accused the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike of attempting to manufacture a crisis to boost his relevance in the eyes of President Bola Tinubu, who is reportedly growing weary of Wike’s interference in FCT governance.
Secondus has alleged that Wike is fabricating a crisis within the party where none exists, as the PDP prepares for its 98th NEC meeting scheduled to take place in Abuja on Thursday.
Furthermore, Secondus has claimed that Wike is deliberately trying to portray a power struggle with Atiku Abubakar, the 2023 Presidential candidate of the PDP and former Vice President.

According to a statement released by his spokesperson Ike Abonyi, Secondus believes that Wike is attempting to project himself as a significant figure within the PDP to serve his own interests within the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Secondus emphasized the importance of key party structures such as NEC, BoT, National Caucus, Governors’ Forum, State Chairmen, and National Assembly caucus in addressing and sidelining troublemakers like Wike to ensure the progress and unity of the party.
