Prince Uche Secondus, a former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has attributed the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State to the pursuit of selfish interests by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike.

Speaking to journalists in Abuja, Secondus claimed that Wike was responsible for Governor Siminalaye Fubura’s political troubles.

He further alleged that the former governor had brought misery, grief, and anguish to the state, emphasizing that the Minister had failed to attract any federal projects to Rivers.

Secondus explained that the current political crisis was orchestrated by individuals who demanded unrestricted access to the state’s finances, a demand that Governor Fubara refused to accept.

Secondus called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene and urge Minister Wike to stop exacerbating the political atmosphere in Rivers State and allow Governor Fubara to carry out his duties.
