Approval has been granted by Mr. Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), for the promotion of a total of 1,018 senior and junior employees within the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA).
On Wednesday in Abuja, Mr. Shehu Ahmad, the FCDA’s Executive Secretary, declared the verdict through a statement.
Officers graded between Levels 7 and 15 will be affected by the promotion that is contingent on the outcome of a promotional evaluation held in April 2024, encompassing the period from 2022-2023.
Apart from the promotions, Wike has sanctioned a prompt assessment of FCDA’s Conditions of Service and Operations Manual to improve the authority’s operational effectiveness.

The objective is to be in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda.”
Mr. Emeka Ezeh, Chairman of the FCT Civil Service Commission communicated the approval to Ahmad. It was noted by him that FCDA is in the process of establishing necessary measures for implementation of review.
Minister Wike was thanked by the FCDA management and staff, who emphasized that these initiatives will greatly enhance employee morale and effectiveness.
