Wike and Ikpeazu will back Tinubu in the presidential election – Orji Kalu
The Central Bank of Nigeria’s naira swap strategy is not a cause for alarm for the general public, he claims, despite the internal fighting within the APC.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, would receive backing from certain disgruntled Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors who make up the G5 or Integrity Group, according to Senate Chief Whip Orji Kalu.
In particular, Kalu claimed during a live interview on Channels Television’s The 2023 Verdict on Monday that Governors Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and his counterpart from Enugu State, Okezie Ikpeazu, will support the former Lagos governor.
The PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar is not being backed by the G5, which consists of Wike, Ikpeazu, and three other state governors.
The Central Bank of Nigeria’s naira swap policy is the subject of internal APC disputes, but he claims that the general public should not be concerned about it (CBN).

Tinubu is popular in the North, hails from the South-West, and would likely receive a substantial vote in the states of Imo, Ebonyi, Abia, Anambra, and Enugu. We’re on the right route,” he added, adding that Governor Wike of Rivers State will support him.
Okezie Ikepazu, my local governor, will also back Tinubu. Tinubu will receive the support of my senatorial district. Puncher must provide the 34, 35 percent to be on the ballot.
The former governor of Abia stated that “the G5 governors are also going to play a very major factor” while expressing confidence that Tinubu would be “a man of tomorrow.”
The senator for Abia North stated that the South-East would support the APC’s presidential nominee because they understand that his presidency will pave the way for a free market.
In his opinion, there is no reason to be concerned about the party’s internal turmoil, and he urged the electorate to vote in accordance with their conscience.
He stated Tinubu could “assign the task” and described him as a skilled administrator.
He is a relief to the entrepreneurial headquarters in Lagos, where I dwell, the man claimed. “All the contenders for president live in Lagos; we all do business there, and Tinubu lives at the heart of Nigeria’s entrepreneurs.”
A cooperation between the business sector and the government, which is “very much not seen today,” would be established, according to Kalu’s APC presidential candidate.
Tinubu was welcomed at the convention by the 21 or 22 governors of the APC, who are prepared to support him. There was a ballot; Tinubu did not emerge from the rear of the yard to become the APC’s presidential nominee.
