Mrs. Yuki Gambaryan, the wife of Tigran Gambaryan, who is currently detained as the head of financial crime compliance at Binance, has made a heartfelt plea to the Federal Government for the release of her husband.
As reported by The Nation on February 28, both Gambaryan and Nadeem Anjarwalla, Binance’s regional manager for Africa, were apprehended by Federal authorities.
While Anjarwalla managed to escape from the custody of the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), both executives were charged by the Federal Government for tax evasion and money laundering.
Yuki Gambaryan, in a statement addressed to the Nigerian Government on April 4, expressed her deep concern for her husband’s prolonged separation from their two children.

She emphasized that Tigran Gambaryan is not only an exceptional father but also a loving husband and a supportive friend to everyone he encounters.
Yuki highlighted her husband’s profound respect for Nigeria and its people, revealing that he was genuinely excited about the opportunity to work in the country.
Yuki acknowledged the government’s decision to scrutinize Binance, understanding their commitment to the welfare of the nation and its citizens.
However, she emphasized that Tigran is merely an employee and does not possess the authority to influence the corporate decisions or policies of Binance that may have impacted Nigeria.
His role primarily involves investigating and pursuing criminal activities on the platform. Yuki’s plea is rooted in the belief that her husband is innocent and should be allowed to return home to his family.
