Why Vote for Peter Obi?
There are persons who will vote come 2023 general elections despite knowing the dangers that lurk behind. They will vote not because any of the prominent presidential candidates is capable of salvaging the precarious situation of Nigeria but to avoid unnecessary prolongation of the pains that accompany the disintegration of a failed state.
Who among Peter Obi, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar is least capable of extending the excruciating pains a failed state inflicts on its citizens? It is Peter Obi.
It is surprising that so many of my readers did not get the import of my post titled: “Peter Obi Presidency will Reduce the Pains of Disintegration”.
How they manage to ignore the certainty of Nigeria’s disintegration ( implied in the title) is lost to me. I argue that Peter Obi is well positioned to reduce the pains of disintegration and not avert it.
It is late in the day because we took the wrong turn. Instead of compelling our politicians to first restructure the system, we have allowed ourselves to prioritize conducting elections to fill largely dysfunctional offices. Is it optimism carried too far ( the illusions of hope) or amnesia of the deluded?
The conclusion of the post in reference also urged all to vote for Peter Obi to put a quick end to the nightmare that Nigeria has become to many.
This conclusion was also misinterpreted to mean that Peter Obi is capable of solving our challenges as a nation ( if there was ever a nation!). Peter Obi’s antecedents support the belief that he will not be open to the dirty politics that brought us this far. I contend that his integrity will not permit brazen denial of the truth.
Please, vote for Peter Obi to fast track Nigeria’s disintegration. If you vote for either Tinubu or Atiku, then be prepared to witness the repackaging of our challenges and the prolongation of servitude in the country.
Both Tinubu and Atiku are positioned, corruptly experienced and connected enough to ensure that the people are hoodwinked and bewitched to be patient for another four years, not so with Peter Obi. He is too real and down to earth to permit such wickedness.
Please, vote for Peter Obi. The signs are ominous.
