Why Tinubu choose fresh management group for CBN – Aide

Sen. Abdullahi Gumel, Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), claims that the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) new management team is being appointed to reorganise the bank and bring it awake to its duties.

This was said by Gumel in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.

He claimed that President Bola Tinubu’s selection of the team was a result of his desire to help the struggling national economy.

This was said by Gumel in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.

He claimed that President Bola Tinubu’s selection of the team was a result of his desire to help the struggling national economy.

The squad that has boarded is a rescue team, according to Gumel, who said that the CBN’s reputation had been severely damaged.

“They came to save the CBN’s reputation.

In actuality, the ECOWAS sub-region and the African Union (AU) are among those waiting for the CBN’s new management to get going, in addition to Nigerians.

In order for everyone to feel comfortable and content, they are waiting for Nigeria’s economy to recover.

Gumel also commended the Senate for approving Mr. Olayemi Cardoso’s appointment as CBN Governor and the rest of his team on the first day of its plenary following the break.

“The screening was successful because in-depth inquiries on the economy were made.

“The lawmakers told the CBN governor and the deputy governors the feelings of Nigerians and what they talked to the team about is reflective of what Nigerians feel about the CBN,” the speaker added.

Gumel expressed hope that the Senate will quickly screen and confirm the President’s other nominees.
