Pa Ayo Adebanjo, an elder statesman and the head of Afenifere, the premier Yoruba socio-political organisation, declared that Nigerians are more passionate about Peter Obi of the Labour Party than they are about any other candidate.
During a question-and-answer session on Thursday’s State of the Nation news broadcast on Arise Television, Adebanjo made the assertion.
He said that the South should have the next president and that he was the first person to bring up the issue.
“Well, I think those who love to watch the progress of the Nigerian election must understand why we are supporting Peter Obi,” Adebanjo stated. Of course, you must keep in mind that I was the first to announce that the southerly turn had arrived. At the time, the parties hadn’t held their primaries, but I was simply pondering the legitimacy, consistency, and equity of Nigerian politics since the country’s independence.
“In my opinion, Obi’s passion cannot be compared to that of others.” If you truly want to keep Nigeria intact, it is a historical, philosophical, logical, constitutional, and even an inclusivity issue.
