Why Northerners Must Support Tinubu in 2023 – Ganduje
Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje said on Saturday that there is no reason why the north shouldn’t vote for the APC’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the 2023 election.
The APC National Leader helped President Muhammadu Buhari become president after multiple failed attempts, according to Ganduje, who made this statement at an event hosted by a group called Patriotic Volunteers for Democracy to exhibit support for Tinubu. Ganduje added that it is now payback time.
Ganduje added that Tinubu is the most qualified candidate for the position and characterised him as someone who has been tried and trusted due to his unrivalled track record.
I don’t do tribal sentiments,” he claimed. As of right now, Tinubu is the only politician I’ve seen who values Northerners more than they do. Tinubu granted Atiku the position of his party’s presidential flag bearer when the PDP refused to accept him back. After that, even though he didn’t win the election, Tinubu named Nuhu Ribadu as his party’s presidential candidate. But even then, he was of assistance.
“What about Buhari’s? Buhari ran for president three times but was unsuccessful each time. Tinubu was the one who decided on a merger and supported Buhari’s election as president. Tinubu was not given a job after being elected president, and he never sought one. Nevertheless, for the sake of Nigeria, democracy, Buhari, and the North. He was in favour of the government. What happens now? For Tinubu, it’s time to make amends. It’s time to lend him that assistance. There is no justification for Northerners not to support him. There isn’t any.By the grace of God, Tinubu has been elected in the North.
“Nigeria requires a leader who is capable, experienced, knowledgeable, firm, and aware of the country’s government. We can promise you that the APC is home to the best presidential contender.

We are not supporting him because he is Muslim or Yoruba; rather, we are doing so because we believe he is qualified. He has been tried and trusted; he has done it before and will do it again. He has successfully led his party to victory every year since 1999, when he stepped down from his position as Lagos State’s governor. There hasn’t been a politician in Nigeria with an unmatched record in the previous 21 years.
“Kashim Shettima, his running mate, was the former governor of Borno for eight years and the chairman of the Northern Governors Forum in the APC. What more do we require? We require a capable, powerful, and foresighted staff. Nigeria will be best served by Tinubu and Shettima in 2023.
“Let’s return to Kano.” Will any rubbish help us rule Kano? We require individuals who have governance knowledge, maturity, and experience. “We don’t need a newbie; we need someone who will pick up where we leave off,” the governor declared.
Ganduje congratulated the event’s organisers for helping to encourage the public to register, get their PVCs, and make sure they participate in peaceful campaigns without carrying firearms.
Usman Alhaji, the Patriotic Volunteers’ leader and secretary to the state government, promised to give the party 600,000 votes in the upcoming general elections.
He promised to go around the whole state to get his supporters to vote and make sure his party wins.
