The Oluyole Warriors’ comeback to the Nigeria Professional Football League in the 2020–21 season was significantly aided by Muritala.
He told the club’s reporters, “I’m here to assist this club restore its due standing in Nigerian football and on the continent.
“It always stings when I watch the team having a bad year, but I know there is nothing I can do from outside to make things better.
“The main reason I returned was to assist the club in reclaiming first place, and I believe with what I have seen so far, It is quite possible,” he said.
Before going back to Ibadan, he played for Wikki Tourist and Akwa United in the NPFL.
