An airport worker explains the real reason they returned $10,000 found while cleaning an aircraft. Discover the story behind this act of honesty.
While cleaning an aircraft at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano, Auwalu Dankade found $10,000 and chose to return it as a demonstration of his devotion to Allah. Mr. Dankade is employed by a handling company based out of the airport.
On Wednesday afternoon, an Egyptian aircraft was found with cash valued at approximately N15 million. Dankade reported the discovery to his manager immediately, resulting in the money being returned to its rightful owner.
During his discussion with OBASANJONEWS, Dankade stated that he was instructed to refrain from claiming ownership of anything that does not belong to him.

He also mentioned that any acquisition made through illegitimate means would result in repercussions in the afterlife.
His decision was significantly influenced by his upbringing, as he explained: “Growing up, my parents instilled in us the value of appreciating what we had, which made it a simple choice for me to give back the money.”
Sources at the airport have revealed that Dankade may receive an invitation from his company to visit Lagos on Friday. It is likely for him to be acknowledged and rewarded for displaying integrity and commendable conduct.
