Why I regret challenging Tinubu-Akpabio in the APC presidential primary

Godswill Akpabio, the president of the Senate, has expressed sorrow for running against President Bola Tinubu in the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential primaries.

Akpabio claimed that if he had known the president’s objectives for Nigeria, he would not have run against Tinubu in the primary race.

Speaking in Lagos State, Akpabio observed that the region served as a model for other states throughout the nation in terms of growth.

“With what the president has done in Lagos, we are assured that Nigeria is in safe hands,” claims Akpabio.

We wouldn’t have competed against you in the party primary if we had known this was your strategy for the nation.

“These few actions you have taken have sparked the development of the nation.”
