Why I left Twitter following the election – Funke Akindele

Funke Akindele, a well-known Nollywood actress who has transitioned into politics, has talked about why she abruptly stopped using Twitter after losing the governor’s race.

Remember that after the election, Funke Akindele, who served as Abdulazeez Adediran’s running partner for governor of Lagos State in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), erased all the political messages that had been uploaded on her social media accounts.

The All Progressives Congress, or APC, led by the current governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, beat the main opposition party, the PDP, in the March 18, 2023, gubernatorial elections.

Funke was questioned about her absence from the app by a follower, @apexproperties2.

“Madam Funke, I cite you,” wrote the user @apexproperties2. Most recently, did you flee from us or what transpired?

As a result, Funke said, “Dem too dey insult people on this app, so I stay off.”

Akindele was questioned about her fear of people by another user @Odun_is_my_name in the comments area, following a similar pattern.

“Are you afraid of people?” asked @Odun_is_my_name.

No, Funke said, “I’m not afraid. I just take care.
