Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy reveals why he rarely honors podcast interviews, sharing his perspective on maintaining authenticity in the media.

Burna Boy, the Grammy-winning singer, has expressed that he is uninterested in taking part in podcast interviews.

Burna Boy shared his discontent with podcast-style interviews on his Instagram story, stating that as an expert in his field, he anticipates being interviewed by professionals.

“I’m not into those podcast or ring light setups, please. I’m a professional in my field; only someone who is also a professional in their own area is qualified to interview ODG,” he wrote on his Instastory.

Nevertheless, he expressed willingness to make an exception for media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, suggesting that he would consider granting him an interview to discuss recent issues.

“Is Ebuka still doing those interviews? I don’t like interviews at all, but I’d be interested in doing one,” he wrote.
