Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP), claimed that if he were elected, young people would no longer be forced to flee Nigeria (japa).
He pledged to put measures into effect that would safeguard young people’s futures.
At the party’s campaign gathering on Thursday in Ado-Ekiti, the state’s capital, Obi made the commitment.

The former governor of Anambra State swore to eradicate poverty, corruption, and instability.
Obi promised to monitor the unemployment rate to make sure graduates land well-paying jobs.
“Under my leadership, this nation will transition from consumption to production.”
He went on to say, “Our young people will be taken care of well enough that they won’t need to leave for better places to live.”
