West African military commanders meet in Abuja to discuss the coup in Niger
Military chiefs from several West African countries are currently in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, for a high-level delegation meeting in response to the coup in the Republic of Niger, according to Daily Trust.
The meeting, called in response to the Economic Community of West African States’ threat of military action in Niger, is being presided over by the ECOWAS military head, Gen. Christopher Musa.
Chiefs from Togo, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Senegal, Liberia, Guinea, Gambia, Cote’Divoire, Cabo Verde, and the Republic of Benin have already arrived in the country.
