Despite prior claims by the trade unions, the Federal Government has reiterated that there will be no strikes throughout the nation.

According to OBASANJO NEWS24, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) decided to go on a statewide strike on Tuesday in protest of the Federal Government’s refusal to grant their requests.

But according to the administration, Tinubu would present the workers’ palliative package during the traditional presidential speech to honour Nigeria’s Independence Day.

Olajide Oshundun, the labour ministry’s spokesman, said the meeting, which is set for Tuesday, will be focused on the statements that President Bola Tinubu will make during his broadcast on October 1 in honour of Independence Day.

We’ll stop the strike, he assured them. We were informed of their plans to strike. They should feel secure knowing that the President would make a statement regarding Nigerian employees in his speech on October 1.

To address the second component of the demand, which focuses on the pay award, “the ministry is working diligently.” The release of the NURTW factional chairman has already been accomplished.

So, after the President’s announcement on Tuesday, we intend to invite them to see if there are any good grounds for them to end the strike.
