Wada, former governor of Kogi, pays visit to Yahaya Bello and provides an explanation
Former Governor of Kogi State, Captain Idris Wada, paid a visit to Governor Yahaya Bello on Saturday to express his gratitude and admiration for the Governor’s remarkable achievements in the state. Specifically, he commended Governor Bello for his exceptional leadership in the areas of security, healthcare, education, and infrastructure. The purpose of his visit was to commend the Governor for his outstanding stewardship since assuming office in 2016 and to convey his best wishes for his future endeavors.
During their meeting, the incumbent Governor and his predecessor engaged in discussions about state affairs, the challenges of governance at various levels, particularly within Kogi State, and broader security issues. Governor Bello warmly welcomed former Governor Wada to his residence in Abuja and described him as an exemplary leader and a statesman with progressive qualities.
Governor Bello acknowledged the difficulties that the former Governor faced during his tenure and commended his diligent efforts within the limitations of available resources, especially considering the unique political challenges of Kogi State. He expressed deep gratitude for the former Governor’s contributions both during and after his time in office, highlighting his humility, fear of God, and progressive qualities as virtues that are widely recognized and admired.
The Governor also extended his prayers for the former Governor’s continued guidance, protection, and good health. As he prepares to hand over to the Governor-elect, Ahmed Ododo, Governor Bello emphasized the importance of supporting Ododo for the overall interest of the state.
