The Benue State Community Volunteer Guard, or BSCVG, detained Mr. Jeremiah Gbogo, a possible cultist, on Sunday.
The suspect was allegedly found at a wake in the state’s Makurdi Local Government Area’s Fiidi Council Ward with a locally manufactured Beretta pistol.
Remember how two more alleged cultists who killed their victims were also captured at Benue Links Motor Park while attempting to flee Makurdi town?
Chief Joseph Har, Special Advisor to the Governor on Security and Internal Affairs, stated that the BCVG’s combined efforts with those of other security agencies were necessary to stop the angry mob from lynching the accused cultists to death.
Har continued, “The police have been tasked with questioning and prosecuting the suspects.”
