The viral video of Afeez Adedigba, a taxi driver based in Ibadan, Oyo State dressed up in his wife’s attire while driving a famous micra cab captured widespread public attention.

Adedigba has come forth to clarify the rationale behind his atypical outfit, disclosing that it was a pragmatic resolution to an unforeseen circumstance.

During an interview with media personality Ayo Adams on Monday, Adedigba explained that he put on his wife’s dress as a last resort because the rain had soaked through all of his own garments and he needed to carry out work duties.

He clarified that he had informed his wife of his intentions when taking the dress and she consented.

Adedigba revealed that he possesses more than one of his wife’s clothing items, specifically two. He recounted a time when heavy rainfall drenched all of his apparel and compelled him to wear her dress in order to attend work as planned.

Adedigba revealed that he stores the dress in his car and dons it exclusively during rainfall, reverting to his own garments once the precipitation comes to a halt.

His main priority is earning money to support his family and fulfill his responsibilities towards the vehicle owner.

Adedigba mentioned that he is not affected by any remarks from passengers because his main objective is to earn sufficient income for the welfare of his family. He further explained, “I have been operating this *micra* for a long time now and my only concern is seeking blessings from God in my profession. I switched to driving when I couldn’t acquire enough funds to commence trading tires which was taught at an early stage.”

Adedigba denied rumors that he had engaged in a fight resulting in his torn clothes and subsequent donning of his wife’s dress.

He made it clear that the decision was based solely on necessity and not as a result of any altercation.

The committed chauffeur, with a spouse and four kids, expressed his unwavering resolve to strive diligently in order to cater for his family’s necessities. He emphasized the extent he is prepared go through just so that they can enjoy optimal living conditions.
