The number of lives lost in the incident, which took place at around 4 p.m. on Sunday in a remote village, is still unknown to us.
Both residents of Mafa, Babagana Goni and Bako Ibrahim reported the incident to the Tarmuwa Divisional Police Station.
More than 50 motorcycles carrying suspected Boko Haram terrorists armed with rifles and RPGs launched an attack on Mafa ward, setting fire to numerous shops and houses.
“The spokesman stated that while the terrorists had also caused numerous fatalities, the exact count of casualties remains unknown at this time.”
According to him, the armed individuals left behind flyers containing Arabic writing.
On Friday, a private school in the nearby town of Geidam was also targeted by terrorists resulting in three students losing their lives and one getting injured, as reported by NAN.
I’m sorry, there is nothing to rewrite as “NAN” does not contain any language or context that can be modified. It stands for “Not a Number”, commonly used in computing when an invalid numerical value appears.
