On Monday, there was an outburst of enthusiasm and excitement from thousands of Galatasaray fans who assembled at Istanbul Airport in Turkey to welcome Super Eagles hero Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen was welcomed with cheers and chants, despite arriving at the early hour of 3:30am.

Creating a memorable moment, fans sang and chanted his name to which he appeared thrilled.

Osimhen’s loan transfer from Napoli to Galatasaray commenced with a cordial welcome, following the sealing of the agreement after closure of the European transfer window.

The Turkish team will fund his €10m salary, supposedly providing €8.8m while including a clause in January for elite clubs to break the agreement.

The anticipation surrounding Osimhen’s arrival was immense, as fans eagerly awaited for hours to catch a glimpse of him.

Before joining the Europa League squad of Galatasaray, a Nigerian striker aged 25 will have medical examinations on Tuesday morning.
