Vice President Shettima leads the NEC meeting

Currently holding a meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC) in the State House in Abuja is Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Nearly all members are present at the current NEC meeting, which is the fourth since the Bola Tinubu administration took office.

The governors of the 36 states that make up the federation, ministers overseeing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Finance, the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Group Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), and other officials make up the council.

Nevertheless, neither Comrade Philip Shaibu, the deputy governor of Edo State, nor Governor Godwin Obaseki were visible when the meeting started.

All of the governors are in attendance at this month’s meeting, which is probably the final one for 2023, with the exception of the deputies representing the governors of Akwa Ibom, Kano, Lagos, Enugu, Osun, Borno, Nasarawa, and Adamawa States.
