Femi Ogunrombi, popularly known as Papa Ajasco and a veteran Nollywood actor, has died.
On Sunday, a theatre professional named Husseini Shaibu tweeted a confirmation of Papa Ajasco’s passing.
I recently heard from a reliable source that Mr. Femi Ogunrombi, an ethnomusicologist, a former music teacher with the @NATIONALTROUPE, and a former stand-in for the “Papa Ajasco” character on the well-known @waleadenugaprod Comic Series “Papa Ajasco,” is DEAD!
Ogunrombi gained notoriety for his performance in the comedy film Papa Ajasco, which is about a family with a womanising father, a promiscuous mother, and a lover boy son.
