VeryDarkMan reveals how he acquired the audio recording of Bobrisky during the ongoing House of Representatives investigation. Discover the details behind this development.”

Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has revealed how he got hold of the controversial audio recording of cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky.

The revelation came as part of an ongoing investigation by the House of Representatives into allegations against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).

VeryDarkMan on Monday accepted an invitation from the House of Representatives to testify on the allegations but initially refused to speak, insisting on being represented by a lawyer.

His refusal was reportedly due to Bobrisky’s absence from the trial.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives expressed dissatisfaction with VeryDarkMan’s position, stressing that the proceedings and Bobrisky’s attendance are at the discretion of the committee and cannot be decided.

According to him, “It is not your job to dictate to us whether Bobrisky will come here or not. The decision is ours. We can also compel him to appear before us. We can use our powers to arrest him.

“We can compel Mr. Bobrisky to appear before us and if necessary, we can arrest him,” the Speaker said. “Their allegations have led to senior government officials being invited. It is therefore imperative that you respond to these allegations.

“You are already here to testify. I encourage you to do so. Do not be fooled by anyone. To lawyers: Inform your clients.” However, his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, prevailed in the case.

VeryDarkMan provided information on how he obtained the audio recording and posted it on his social media.

He himself said: “I participated in the recording because Bobrisky was blackmailing someone who owes me money, according to the stories and chat evidence sent to me,” he said.

“This person borrowed 4 million naira from Bobrisky while he was in EFCC custody or at his private residence. That person gave him the money on June 19, 2024.”
