Following a plea from VDM, Davido has released Dammy Krane from detention, resolving the recent legal issue.

Davido has responded to the plea of popular activist and social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan. Four hours after requesting that Davido give his former signee Dammy Krane another opportunity to start afresh, he was granted clemency by Davido’s kindness.

During a brief VDM video, Dammy Krane expressed regret for his behavior and pledged to concentrate solely on his music going forward.

Additionally, he implied the potential for a collaboration with Davido.

Previously, VDM recorded a video in which he begged Davido to set Dammy Krane free from his imprisonment at FCID located in Abuja.

He clarified that he had visited the police station to express gratitude towards officers who aided him with his cases. While leaving, someone informed him of a famous person sporting dreadlocks being held at FCID.

Upon arriving there, he laid eyes on Dammy Krane who – as per VDM’s account – appeared to be in need of assistance due to a probable state of depression brought about by his ongoing decline within the music realm.

In VDM’s words, “You constantly launch unprovoked attacks on him and his family. You claim he owes you money but fail to provide any evidence. Accusing Davido of killing Tagbo without proof is baseless as we know the truth – Tagbo drank until he passed out. From what I have witnessed firsthand, I believe that David is not an oppressor but has been pushed too far.

Please consider giving him a second chance as this individual seems only interested in using your name for clout while defaming it at the same time. He may be struggling with depression or envy towards you which causes unwarranted insults directed towards me also amongst other things.”

In a chain of Twitter posts dated X, Dammy Krane alleged that Davido bribed officials to wrongly implicate him in the scamming activities related to Flutterwave and cryptocurrency.
