President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Owerri, the capital of Imo State, for the second term inauguration of Governor Hope Uzodimma.
Tinubu, who had previously participated in a wreath-laying ceremony in Abuja to commemorate the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day, landed in the state on Monday at around 1 pm.
He was warmly received at the Sam Mbakwe Airport by Governor Uzodimma, along with several high-ranking government officials and leaders from the South-East state.
Following the inauguration at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri, President Tinubu, accompanied by his officials, will also commission various projects in the state.
Notably, Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State and his deputy Valentine OnyekaChukwu Ibezim are also present at the event. In his pre-inauguration message, Governor Uzodimma expressed his commitment to serving as a “servant leader” to the people and residents of Imo State, thanking them for their unwavering support and pledging to uphold the mandate entrusted to him and his team.
