UTME: Candidates in centers experiencing technical difficulties will have their appointments rescheduled by JAMB Registrar

Professor Is-haq Oloyede, the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has made an announcement regarding candidates who have experienced technical issues during the ongoing Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

He assured the affected candidates that they will be rescheduled to write the exam and urged them to remain calm.

Oloyede, who spoke to newsmen after monitoring the exam in Kogo-Bwari, Abuja, mentioned that the UTME has been progressing smoothly, with only one center encountering issues so far.

A total of 1,985,642 candidates registered for the examination, which began on Friday and will conclude on April 25, 2024.

The results are expected to be released in the coming days. Oloyede emphasized that while some centers may encounter problems, it is important for candidates not to disrupt others.

In the event of a session failure, the affected candidates will have to step aside and the headquarters will be contacted to reschedule their exams.

The earliest time for rescheduling will be after 4:30 p.m., allowing candidates from other sessions to complete their exams.

Oloyede also mentioned that the 2024 UTME is expected to be seamless due to the introduction of new mechanisms into the exam system.
