Drone attacks against American outposts have been attributed to an Iraqi “resistance” group.

According to the Pentagon, US troops stopped at least two UAVs without suffering any injuries or property damage.
Al-Mayadeen, a news outlet located in Lebanon, said on Monday that “explosions could be heard” at the Al-Omar oilfield in the province of Deir ez-Zor. Additionally, there were allegations of drone attacks on At-Tanf, the heavily defended American outpost in southern Syria, and on Al-Shaddadi in the Hasakah region.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a group that has claimed responsibility for the strikes, stated that it had struck “direct hits” on American military installations in the vicinity of Al-Omar and Al-Shaddadi. However, the statement’s accompanying images were really from 2019.
