President Biden, Vice President Harris, and former President Trump come together at Ground Zero to mark the 9/11 anniversary, honoring the victims and reflecting on the tragedy that reshaped America.

The 23rd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks was commemorated by US citizens on Wednesday (Sep. 11).

At ground zero, after their first-ever debate just hours ago, the solemn event gathered President Joe Biden along with presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump joined by his running mate JD Vance as they stood united.

The terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 resulted in the loss of 2,977 lives and affected countless individuals who were left grieving or psychologically wounded.

During the ceremony on Wednesday, there were individuals who implored for peace while others conveyed political statements.

In New York, terrorists hijacked planes which toppled the twin towers of the World Trade Centre and caused damage to the Pentagon – headquarters of the U.S. military. Furthermore, a plane crashed in rural Pennsylvania as well.

The United States reacted by initiating a campaign named the Global War on Terror, with a primary focus in the Middle East.
