EFCC intensifies efforts to ensure fair elections by arresting individuals suspected of vote-buying in Edo.
In the ongoing Edo Governorship election, agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have detained a number of people suspected of buying votes.
At around ten in the morning, they were taken into custody in the state’s Egor Local Government Area.
After searching the area, EFCC agents took three suspects—two men and a woman—out of custody. However, a few locals protested the arrest, claiming they were being wronged.
