Unrest: Katsina will spend N7.8 billion on banditry-fighting equipment

The N7.8 billion budget has been approved by the Katsina State Executive Council to buy cutting-edge equipment for the state’s security agencies in an effort to reduce insecurity in the state.

While briefing reporters on the outcomes of the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, Dr. Nasiru Mu’azu Danmusa, Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, reported this.

Danmusa claims that N4.8 billion (N4,852,613,400) of the aforementioned sum will be utilised to buy security vehicles for patrol activities, and N2.6 billion (N2,697,484,036.33) is designated for the acquisition of high-tech security equipment.
