Unknown gunmen killed four people, including a woman, on Tuesday in Eziani, Ihiala Local Government Area, Anambra State.
The criminals carrying an Ak-47 shot at random and killed the victims, who have not been identified.
The nation learned that the criminals fled right away, leaving the dead in a pool of their own blood.
Tochukwu Ikenga, a police spokesman, confirmed the event and said that police and the military searched the area and found unidentified dead bodies.
He claimed that the mortuary had received the bodies.
In the early hours of today, October 1, 2023, at Nzomiwu Street, Eziani, Ihiala, operatives responded to a distress call and discovered four dead bodies—three males and one female—at the scene. “Police and military operations have been intensified in Ihiala and its neighbouring town,” he stated.
According to preliminary evidence, the criminal elements began shooting randomly and without provocation.
Sadly, gunfire struck four unarmed members of the general public. The mortuary is where the bodies are now located.
