President Bola Tinubu had previously instructed that workers who went on a prolonged strike in 2022 should be compensated for four months.
The compliance with the strike led to the closure of a main gate, impacting vehicular access and causing congestion along the UNILAG route.
Lecture halls and offices were also affected, hindering academic activities, while members gathered for a peaceful protest demanding the immediate payment of salaries through placards with various inscriptions.
