The body of the murdered Fulani chieftain, Adamu Idris, is still missing, according to Operation Safe Haven, a multi-security team tasked with maintaining peace in Plateau, sections of Bauch, and Southern Kaduna.
Idris, the Ardo (Fulani leader) of Plateau State’s Panyam District of Mangu Local Government Area, was assassinated on Saturday evening.
The location of the late Idris’s body are still unknown; it was claimed that he was killed as he was leaving the District Head of Panyam.
The operation’s spokeswoman, Captain Oya James, stated on Monday that a search team had been sent to the region to look for the corpse and that the command will make every effort to find it.
The perpetrators of the atrocity would undoubtedly be apprehended and prosecuted, according to Captain James.
We are looking for the incident’s perpetrators, he said, urging the locals to keep their cool. A really tragic occurrence occurred. The troops have been looking for the offenders since Saturday morning, and they need to be brought to justice.
