Umahi calls on Nigerians to avoid extreme politics during the inauguration of Tinubu

The governor asserted that only God has the power to decide the future of any leader, even Bola Tinubu, the president-elect.

In response to the responses that have followed the results of the 2023 Presidential, National Assembly, Governorship, and State Houses of Assembly elections, Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has once more urged Nigerians to avoid what he characterises as radical politics.

When he met Francis Nwifuru, the incoming governor of the Ebonyi state, on Wednesday at the Government House in Abakaliki, Governor Umahi made this call.

The people were reminded by Umahi during this time that only God has the power to decide the fate of any leader, even Bola Tinubu, the president-elect.

The governor said that the Nigerian constitution bears the laws that decide who may run for any office in the nation and that it is superior to other protocols.

He asserted that one crucial duty of the next administration at this time would be to mobilise all available resources to maintain Nigeria’s unity.
