The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria is referred to as ISIS. It is a Sunni jihadist organisation with a very aggressive philosophy. It asserts religious dominance over all Muslims and refers to itself as a caliphate. Although the gang was openly dismissed from al Qaeda, it was inspired by the organisation.

Prior to his December sentencing, Okwuoha was placed under remand in custody.

A jury convicted him guilty of making terrorist threats against the university, and he now risks jail time and deportation.

Mr. Okwuoha, an International Energy Studies master’s student, was found guilty on seven counts by the jury.

The statements of witnesses
Witnesses said in court that Mr. Okwuoha informed university employees that he intended to commit mass murder on the Dundee University campus.

The witnesses described how Mr. Okwuoha claimed to have military experience and to be able to make explosives and infect the city with a fatal virus.

In the autumn of 2021, Keith Mackle, a 58-year-old retired director of student services, informed Perth Sheriff Court that he had “serious concerns.”
