UK government condemns Fani-Kayode for remarks and discloses 10 persons on alert for immigration ban

An APC leader named Femi Fani-Kayode has been under fire from the UK for making debatable remarks during the election season.

The APC presidential campaign council’s director of new media was criticised by the British Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria, Ben Llewellyn-Jones, for making offensive comments in an interview with Nigeria Info FM on Sunday.

The Department of State Services (DSS) last month summoned Fani-Kayode for interrogation in relation to his assertion that Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential candidate, met with army generals before to the polls.

“Well, let’s be clear, there were certain individuals, like Femi Fani-Kayode, what is he saying and why is he saying it? Incomprehensible to me.

The UK government will impose visa bans on anyone who undermine democracy, Llewellyn-Jones has reaffirmed.
