After Tuesday’s 3-2 loss to Galatasaray at Old Trafford in the UEFA Champions League, midfielder Christian Eriksen of Manchester United has underlined the areas in which his team needs to improve.

In addition, Eriksen acknowledged that the Manchester United locker room was’very silent’ after the humiliating home loss to Galatasaray.

The Danish international stated the following in his post-game interview: “It’s a huge disappointment.

“The dressing room was really peaceful. I believe we had some strong moments during the game, but ultimately, after taking the lead, we quickly gave it back, which of course made it challenging to continue playing.

“That needs to change, and it needs to change rapidly. It’s more about attentiveness and sharpness to actually maintain our form, not confidence, in my opinion.

“You shouldn’t throw away going ahead twice, and we’ve done it in several games this season.

“I don’t think it’s confidence, I think it’s sharpness, bad decisions at bad times, and a little bit of bad luck following us around right now,” the speaker said.

Man United will now turn their focus to the Premier League as they prepare for their home match against Brentford on Saturday.
