According to Axios, UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed rejected Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s appeal to provide unemployment benefits to Palestinians who were denied entry into Israel.
The report states that Netanyahu approached Sheikh Mohammed a few weeks ago, requesting financial assistance for over 100,000 Palestinian residents of the West Bank who were unable to commute to their jobs in Israel since October. However, Sheikh Mohammed was surprised by the request and refused to comply, arguing that Netanyahu was responsible for the situation by prohibiting these workers from traveling between Palestinian and Israeli territories.
In a sarcastic remark, Sheikh Mohammed suggested that Netanyahu seek financial aid from Ukrainian President Zelensky, who receives substantial funding from various countries and might be able to assist him.
