According to head coach Ladan Bosso, the Flying Eagles cannot afford to underestimate Uganda in their quarterfinal matchup at the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
Given their prior success and calibre, Bosso’s team will enter the match at Suez Canal Stadium, Ismailia, as the favourites.
Despite a sluggish start, the Flying Eagles have been impressive in Egypt 2023 and have won the championship seven times.
But, Bosso has warned his team that taking on the Hippos will be challenging.
The Ugandan team is our next opponent, and they are equally qualified. We cannot underestimate any team, Bosso said, according to CAFonline.
The winner of the match will secure a spot in Indonesia for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2023.
