Tyla, the Grammy-winning South African singer, recently expressed her preference for dominant men over extremely funny ones in an interview with Capital Xtra in London.

She explained that while she appreciates a good sense of humor, she finds it irritating when men are constantly joking and fail to be serious when needed.

In another interview with Power 106 FM in Los Angeles, Tyla shared her gratitude for Chris Brown’s support before she gained global recognition.

She revealed that Chris Brown would attend her shows in disguise and mingle with the audience. Tyla’s breakthrough came with her song ‘Water,’ which went viral on TikTok and propelled her to international stardom.

The track even won the prestigious Best African Music Performance award at the 2024 Grammys.
