Tyla Laura Seethal, better known by her stage name Tyla, is a musician from South Africa. She has responded to reports that she is dating Nigerian Afrobeats artist Rema.
The ‘Water’ singer addressed the accusations in the most recent episode of the podcast We Need To Talk, saying that Rema is simply a “friend.”

She explained that the widely shared photo of them holding hands, which started dating allegations, was shot after one of the Afrobeats artist’s concerts.
“I’m just pals with Rema. At his show, I went, and he occurred to take my hand. Naturally, people will always understand it in their own manner.
“I don’t date him,” I said. I don’t care for him.
OBASANJO NEWS24 notes that Tyla recently stated in an Apple Music interview that Rema is the star she would most like to take on a prom date.
