On a normal anti-crime patrol, police officers from Delta State’s Agbor Division captured two suspects with a locally made pistol and a live round.
Collins Anthony, 34, and Stephen Goddey, 30, the accused, were apprehended while being searched for a tricycle on Baleke Street in Iregua, Agbor.
Obasanjonews24 received a confirmation from DSP Bright Edafe, the public relations officer for the Delta State Police Command, confirming the report.
He said: “The squad saw a motorcycle with three passengers, each carrying a bag. Two of the passengers, Collins Anthony and Stephen Goddey, both Agbor locals, leapt out of the motorcycle when they saw the police, but the cops pursued them and detained them.
Preliminary investigations, according to Edafe, “revealed that the suspects belong to a criminal syndicate terrorizing Agbor community and its environs.”
