In a jungle in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, a man by the name of Taye Agbaje is said to have murdered his younger brother’s two children.

The man, on Saturday, August 5, went to his sibling’s home in Kemta Abata, Abeokuta, carried the two girls away on his bike, and then he killed them with a cutlass.

Idowu Agbaje, the children’s father, who wasn’t home when Taye arrived to pick them up, reportedly began looking for the children when he got home later that day.

Locals informed him that they had seen the two girls riding his brother’s motorbike throughout the daytime after he had made them aware of the situation.

The event shocked the residents of Kemta Abata, who said the culprit did not reside in their neighbourhood.

Taye is currently in police custody, according to a person from the neighbourhood who wished to remain anonymous.

“Taye denied knowing where the girls were when he was questioned about it. Yet he said he just transported the females to the market, despite reports from the neighbourhood that he was seen transporting the girls.

“He was transported to the Kemta Police Division, where he later admitted to killing his nieces. Taye led the officers to a thicket where he murdered his nieces and dumped their remains.

“We were all able to see the bodies where he killed them. The bodies were moved by police to the mortuary. Taye stated that the mother of the children had spiritually appropriated his glory for her husband, but he did not provide any other explanation for his actions. The source reported, “This is quite shocking.

The incident was confirmed by Omolola Odutola, the public relations officer for the Ogun State Police, who described it as puzzling.

The police were questioning the culprit, who, according to Odutola, displayed no remorse and kept blaming devil for the crime.

The suspect failed to provide a detailed explanation for why he killed his brother’s children. No evidence of regret was present. He is merely accusing Satan of being to blame, and that is against the law, Odutola stated.

An update on the event would be provided soon, the police official stated.
